About Jessica

As the parent of two recent graduates of Minnetonka, I am grateful for the opportunities that my children have had, academically, in athletics, and in the arts.  I realize that the education that they have received in Minnetonka is not typical. I want to be part of making sure that current and future Minnetonka students experience their own version of the best-in-class education that our district offers.

I grew up in the Twin Cities and attended Hopkins Schools.  I studied Chemistry in college and entered the professional sales field.  I married my college sweetheart and we started our family in Gurnee, IL.  After 15 years living in three midwestern states, we moved to the Minnetonka area - determined to stay. Our two children have attended Minnetonka schools since 2006 and my husband, Jason, has taught at Scenic Heights Elementary for the past 10 years.

Over time my eyes have been opened to the intricacies of the education system and to the vast and unique opportunities available to Minnetonka students.  Having little exposure beyond our district, it’s easy to take for granted all that Minnetonka offers.  I have realized that excellence takes work and vision, not only to achieve, but to maintain.  It has become important to me to do my part to ensure Minnetonka continues to be a district where every student can achieve to the very best of their own unique ability.
